Pristine Peaks IE is a streamlined version of our stereo Pristine Peaks limiter that has been enhanced and optimized for multi-channel surround and "immersive audio" applications. Pristine Peaks IE, like Pristine Peaks, is an ultra-low distortion peak limiter for use in both mixing and mastering applications where the transparent peak control is required.


Pristine Peaks IE can support up to 12 channels of audio for use on mono all the way up to 7.1.4 channel-based audio tracks and buses. Each channel can be level-trimmed +/-5dB pre-limiter while their peaks can be trimmed as well by as much as 10dB below the master Ceiling setting.
Channel Isolate and Bypass controls are also provided to allow channel monitoring and bus separations.
Pristine Peaks IE uses a novel approach to dynamics control that produces a very "clean" sound that does not break up or distort even at high gain reduction amounts. Instead of saturating or clipping waveform peaks, Pristine Peaks IE determines what needs to be done to control the peaks and applies that gain change to the entire waveform. This results in extremely low THD for a very "clean" sound.

Limited-S is a high quality De-Esser, Enhancer and harshness controller designed for use in both mixing and mastering applications.


Limited-S uses a different approach than typical De-Essers, Dynamic EQs, etc., in that it does not use a tradition compressor-type Attack/Decay level detector. Instead, Limited-S uses a very fast, Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter that exactly calculates the envelope of the signal at all times. There is no need to fuss with attack and decay settings to get acceptable results. When Threshold and Ratio are set properly, de-essing action will be completely transparent in most cases. All you will hear is less sibilance.
Limited-S is a "fixed threshold" type De-Esser that works on peak signal levels much like a limiter. It does not attempt to track the overall signal and attenuate what it "thinks" is excessive sibilance. De-Essers of that type tend to overcompress leading sibilance (producing lisping) while under-controlling trailing sibilance. Limited-S, instead, only catches the loudest and most offensive sibilance peaks. (The threshold can be automated if desired).
When used on stereo tracks, Limited-S can operate on the full mix, just the Mids, just the Sides or just Left or Right. This allows applications in both mixing and mastering such as de-essing of vocals in a master (typically centered) while leaving the sides untouched.
Limited-S's High Lift control allows adding brightness to a mix while simultaneously controlling excessive high frequencies. Great on vocals or for brightening a master.
Limited-S also includes a Sidechain input that allows one signal source to "duck" the highs in another signal source. This can be used, for example, to keep a vocal clear during cymbal crashes, etc.
Limited-S automatically switches to mono or stereo mode to minimize CPU load per track usage.

What Cans2Cones does
Cans2Cones reduces the "superstereo" effect of headphones by generating cross-mixed Interaural Time and Amplitude Differences (ITD and IAD) for left and right ears. This crossfeed is not the same thing as simple panning or stereo width reduction. It actually produces a sense of distance to the emulated "speakers" with subtle EQ changes and comb filtering that occurs with real loudspeakers in a real room.
What Cans2Cones does NOT do
Cans2Cones is not a "headphone equalizer". It does not attempt to correct any spectral imbalances in your headphone's frequency response nor does it apply any "room correction" or room ambience. It assumes a flat frequency response in a heavily treated room with monitors placed on a customary equilateral triangle to the listening position.
A unique feature of Cans2Cones is the "Dynamic De-Compression" control that reduces the "in your head" compressed sound that occurs due to the close proximity of headphone drivers to the eardrums. This decompressor "dries out" the sound to a small degree which helps to emulate what one would hear with real speakers in a real room. Dynamic De-Compression helps the listener to better assess the amount of reverb and compression in a mix which is often exaggerated when listening on headphones.
Cans2Cones includes 3 "Quick Select" presets: "Near-field", "Mid-field", and "Far-field" that generate the distance and characteristic frequency response of speakers used in those positions. Also included is a "Subwoofer" control that extends the frequency response low-end for full range response on any of the "speakers". You can also adjust the speaker distance manually by simply dragging them. When selecting different presets the audio perspective and slight tonal variations occur - just like moving monitors around in a real room!

Advancer is a unique plugin that does the opposite of delay. It uses your DAW's latency compensation mechanism to shift sounds forward in time (with respect to other tracks in your DAW) by up to 50mS.


This "opposite of delay" can be used for numerous corrective and creative purposes including
•Delay compensation and time-aligment of distant microphones
•Timing aligment/correction of skewed left/right tracks - bringing the center to the center
•Audio brightening via frequency-dependent forward time shifts
•Creating "ghost notes" and flams on drums
•Creating doubling effects that anticipate the original sound - adding excitement and clarity
•Creating extrememly smooth "Jet Plane" flanging effects exactly where you want them with full control over sweep speed and depth (via DAW automation of two controls).

Advancer takes pre-echo a step further by including a linear phase crossover that allows applying different time shifts to high and low frequencies.
When used on stereo tracks, Advancer also includes the options to apply the time shifts to the full signal, just the "Middle/Center", just the "Sides" or just the Left or RIght channel.Advancer shifts the audio on sample-based intervals and does not re-sample the audio (which can degrade sound quality)
