4. If the 'Configurator' is not showing JVM version correctly, refer to the PDF file inside the RAR file (given as attachment below at the end of this post) - in the PDF file, skip to page 4 and follow the instructions.
Flash disc must be loaded in cd drive or mounted in virtual drive.
Insert the Update Programming CD into your PC.
• Minimize or Run your VAS-PC.
• Open "My Computer".
• Open your "E:" Drive. A folder named "datflash" and a file named "label" will be
displayed on the screen.
• Minimize the window.
• Open "My Computer" to open up a new window.
• Open your "C:" drive.
• Open the "SIDIS" folder.
• Open the "Home" folder.
• Copy/Paste the folder named "datflash" to the "Home" folder.
• Close both open windows and maximize the VAS-PC screen.
• Remove programming CD from your PC.
• Activate Vehicle Self Diagnosis from your VAS-PC and select
On Board Diagnostic (OBD).
• Select appropriate address word for module being updated
• At the bottom of the screen, select 019 – Update Programming.
Make sure your virtual drive letter is correct to match one in configuration file.
Configuration file is located in C:\SIDIS\home\DBaseSys2\EDIABAS\EDIABASSetup.ini
Edit Ediabas as this:
BipDebugLevel
; Description : Controls the check of the ECU version handling
; for flash programming
; Value : 0 = Versions with letters in the version string
; cannot be programmed (e.g. "X123")
; 100 = All versions are used for programming
; Default : 100
BipDebugLevel = 100
Then down more to this:
; STTLocal
; Description : Location of the local STT file
; Default : No default
STTLocal = c:\SIDIS\home\datflash
;-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
; STTExternal
; Description : Location of the external STT file
; Default : No default
STTExternal = E:\datflash
External meaning CD drive. Rename CD drive E or edit STT external to D. Use STTLocal work good on time.

c:\SIDIS\home\datflash insert new programming .SGO file and make one time .stt file place in same folder. Sure to make stt file correct or no 19 update programming show itself.
.stt file example work: To make open text document and use below example. See gearbox hardware # must be correct. Then add old software number and use single space then semicolon. always single space double underscore. When finish building file save as (example here) get_02 for gearbox then add.stt and all done.
