True Mid/Side is a unique plugin that extracts the true phantom center and true STEREO side signals from a stereo mix.


Traditional "Mid/Side" processing is often a misnomer for what is technically "sum and difference" processing. In this traditional approach the "Mid" output is simply the mono sum of left and right (L+R) while the "side" output is the mono difference of left and right (L-R). Any signals panned hard left or hard right - which are actually pure "side" signals - will appear in both the Mid and Side outputs. Meanwhile, the "Side" output is a mono mix containing both the left and right sides. This is not how we hear stereo!
"True Mid/Side" actually separates the phantom center (what we hear in the middle of a stereo mix) from the stereo side signals. The stereo Side signals are separated to their respective Left and Right sides. All three resultant signals (Left-Center-Right) can be controlled independently. Signals panned to the center of the stereo mix (the "Phantom Center") emerge ONLY in the Middle/Center output while signals hard-panned Left/Right in the stereo mix emerge ONLY in the Side outputs (and on the same side they appear in the stereo mix).
True Mid/Side can be used to extract and render Middle/Center and Side stems from a stereo track or bus and can also be used in effects inserts and sends in your DAW during mixing and mastering for the ultimate stereo field FX and control. All outputs are directly usable - latency compensated and linear phase - and do not require re-encoding back to stereo. Also included is a "Spread" control that allows selection of the depth of the separation algorithm while multiple output pins are provided for DAWs that can support pluginswith multiple I/O pins.

SideMinder 2 is the 2nd generation mono-band dynamic stereo width maximizer that can increase the stereo width of a track, bus and/or master mix while limiting over-widening that can produce signal loss when mixed or played in mono.


SideMinder 2 uses latency-compensated FIR correlation detectors that "listen to" the incoming stereo signal and precisely and rapidly turn down the width when it detects the signal is going into negative correlation. Additional stages of filtering control the recovery speed of the width limiting action which is adjustable via the Release control.

Pristine Peaks IE is a streamlined version of our stereo Pristine Peaks limiter that has been enhanced and optimized for multi-channel surround and "immersive audio" applications. Pristine Peaks IE, like Pristine Peaks, is an ultra-low distortion peak limiter for use in both mixing and mastering applications where the transparent peak control is required.


Pristine Peaks IE can support up to 12 channels of audio for use on mono all the way up to 7.1.4 channel-based audio tracks and buses. Each channel can be level-trimmed +/-5dB pre-limiter while their peaks can be trimmed as well by as much as 10dB below the master Ceiling setting.
Channel Isolate and Bypass controls are also provided to allow channel monitoring and bus separations.
Pristine Peaks IE uses a novel approach to dynamics control that produces a very "clean" sound that does not break up or distort even at high gain reduction amounts. Instead of saturating or clipping waveform peaks, Pristine Peaks IE determines what needs to be done to control the peaks and applies that gain change to the entire waveform. This results in extremely low THD for a very "clean" sound.

Limited-S is a high quality De-Esser, Enhancer and harshness controller designed for use in both mixing and mastering applications.


Limited-S uses a different approach than typical De-Essers, Dynamic EQs, etc., in that it does not use a tradition compressor-type Attack/Decay level detector. Instead, Limited-S uses a very fast, Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter that exactly calculates the envelope of the signal at all times. There is no need to fuss with attack and decay settings to get acceptable results. When Threshold and Ratio are set properly, de-essing action will be completely transparent in most cases. All you will hear is less sibilance.
Limited-S is a "fixed threshold" type De-Esser that works on peak signal levels much like a limiter. It does not attempt to track the overall signal and attenuate what it "thinks" is excessive sibilance. De-Essers of that type tend to overcompress leading sibilance (producing lisping) while under-controlling trailing sibilance. Limited-S, instead, only catches the loudest and most offensive sibilance peaks. (The threshold can be automated if desired).
When used on stereo tracks, Limited-S can operate on the full mix, just the Mids, just the Sides or just Left or Right. This allows applications in both mixing and mastering such as de-essing of vocals in a master (typically centered) while leaving the sides untouched.
Limited-S's High Lift control allows adding brightness to a mix while simultaneously controlling excessive high frequencies. Great on vocals or for brightening a master.
Limited-S also includes a Sidechain input that allows one signal source to "duck" the highs in another signal source. This can be used, for example, to keep a vocal clear during cymbal crashes, etc.
Limited-S automatically switches to mono or stereo mode to minimize CPU load per track usage.
